„The voice is the muscle of the soul.“

In the “Roy-Hart-Center-Work” we explore the voice in in all its colors and expressive possiblities, independently of aesthetic norms and conventions. We examine the connection of voice and body and voice and perception and move into new territiry of our voices beyond the areas that we are habitually using. In group, partner and individual sessions we find a lot of space to experience and explore our own voices.

“The perception is the dance.”
Inspired by this famous quote by dancer/choreographer Deborah Hay. we will explore the question: What if the perception is the music? What if the body sings and the voice moves? Seemingly paradoxical tasks will stimulate and open up hidden pathways for the voice between mind and body.

Learning to perceive multiple perspectives in space, we will vocally explore different modes of knowing, such as thinking, sensing, intuition, memory, and feeling. This fluid dialogue between body, mind, and the world around us has the potential to enlarge our perspective on Voice and Vocal performance. The workshop will include individual and group body and voice-work.
